A Simple SolutionThere are many problems in the world today that it seems impossible to solve all of them in our generation.  However, there is an old institution that has been in existence almost as long as the human race first came into being (through whatever method you might happen to believe in), although it is hardly practiced in recent years:  Cannibalism.  Now, many people balk at this concept, indeed many civilizations consider Cannibalism taboo.  But it is my hope that I will be able to convince you, dear reader, that it is the simplest solution to most (if not all) of the most serious problems in our world. & A Simple Solution

Magic Circle chpt. 010A squirrel descends from the tree that holds aloft his home in a search for food.  He sniffs around the base of the tree, wary for predators that could descend on him at any moment.  Fortunately, he finds a nut of some kind not for from his tree.  He has no idea what kind of nut it is, but knows it’s edible.  After all, he is a squirrel.  But a sudden loud “Crack!” from nearby causes him to freeze.  A large blue portal opens nearby, and the squirrel decides to eat his breakfast back in the relative safety of his home.      Mike and April step throug Magic Circle chpt. 010

Magic Circle chpt. 009The children’s first full day borrowing the mansion goes by without them ever finding out who actually lives there.  Not that most of them actually cared to find out.  April and Jesse were the only ones that were ever found in the study, reading anything that might provide a clue.  But after not making any headway for a while, they call for a break in their studying.  April goes back downstairs and finds Mike on the couch watching the television, and decides to get him off his butt to do something.  Jesse goes outside to practice her martial arts in private.  In the black upstai Magic Circle chpt. 009

Halfway through... kinda

Well, here we are at the halfway mark of the National Novel Writing Month I'm participating in. Since I need to have 50,000 words by the end of November, I should easily have 25,000 words in my novel so far. So far, so good, right?

Wrong!

Halfway through the month, and I've only got about 2,020 words so far >.> So yeah, I'm probably doomed ^^; There's still a tiny sparkle of hope though! I'm hoping my amazing powers of procrastination will kick in sometime within the next few days, and I'll somehow manage to get the 27,980 words I need by the deadline...

Hey! Don't give me that look! It's happened before! I wrote an entire 5 page essay, including doing most of the research for it, the day it was due in one of my college courses. Got a B+ on it too! Granted, this is a little longer than 5 pages, but don't try and take away my tiny, shiny ray of hope!
